Each instrument is completed in the Bad Dog Custom and Relic Guitars workshop, where we apply a high-quality, plasticizer-free nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This finish, just like the one used on period guitars, not only provides a special, long-lasting shine, but also enhances the guitar’s resonance and over time provides a natural patina that intensifies its vintage character. To deliver that lived-in, storied look, we’ve perfected a Relic finish, available in Light Relic and Medium Relic, achieving an authentic aging that emulates decades of use. In addition, the hardware is carefully reliced ​​and aged, creating an aesthetic that respects the essence of vintage down to the last detail.
