Overview: Our "Bad Dog 1954 Vintage Custom" pickups are designed to faithfully recreate the legendary tone of the early 1954 Stratocasters. Each pickup is hand-wound using materials and techniques identical to the original, ensuring an authentic and unique tonal experience.

Technical Specifications:

• Magnet Type: Alnico 3, for a soft and warm attack, with a rounded sound in the low frequencies.
• Winding wire: Heavy Formvar, 42 AWG, the same as used in 1954.
• Average resistance: 5.8k - 6.3k ohms, tuned to achieve a balance between clarity and warmth.
• Winding: Handwound, Irregular, inspired by the manual techniques of the time, for a unique tonal character in each pickup.
• Frequency Coverage: Wide, with rounded bass, present mids and soft but defined highs.
• Clean Sound: Warm tone, with a natural brightness and a smooth sustain. Ideal for vintage styles and crystal-clear cleans.
• Middle Positions: Classic "quack" Stratocaster, smooth and expressive.
