This is a pre-wired harness for Gibson® Les Paul® USA guitars (MFG# LP-BB-LONG-PREMIER). Carefully wired “50s style” and grounded with vintage spec bus wire for a great vintage tone. For imported guitars, you may need to enlarge the holes to fit higher quality US-spec electronics and may also need US-spec knobs (to accept 24-tooth split shafts).

(Pre-wired 3-position toggle switch not included)

What's so special about 50's style wiring?
1. The overall tone becomes stronger, tighter and more transparent. It’s hard to describe, but you could say it’s more “in your face.”

2. The typical loss of high end that occurs when reducing the volume is much less than with standard wiring. Both volume and tone controls become more sensitive and react more smoothly without the usual hot spots. Another advantage: by just turning down the guitar volume a little, you can clean up an overdriven amp without getting lost in the mix.

3. The volume and tone controls interact with each other, something you may be familiar with from certain tweed-era Fender tube amps. When you change the volume, the tone changes a bit, and vice versa. This may feel strange at first, but it only takes a few minutes to get used to.

Installation Tips for Knobs on Split Shaft Potentiometers
Emerson PREMIER PRO US spec split shaft potentiometers are made to fit US spec 24 spline push-in knobs. Some US and import guitars will require new US spec knobs as even some US manufacturers use import spec parts that will not work with our potentiometers. We recommend that you do not rush the knob installation process. If your knob is too tight and will not seat, lightly press down on the top of the potentiometer shaft so that when you press the knob in you do not damage the potentiometer shaft by applying too much downward pressure.

Delivery time 10-20 days.
